Using the right technique is already essential during the production of our BILLY BOY condoms. Rubbers are called rubbers because, well, they are made of rubber. Natural rubber latex, to be precise. Natural rubber latex is obtained in the form of a milky juice from the bark of rubber trees that are cultivated in Asia. This natural rubber latex is then processed in Germany, using a complex technical procedure.
These are the origins of the condom. The famous rolling rim is then added, before the condoms are vulcanised for about 20 minutes at a temperature of over 100 degrees Celsius. This process gives them their elasticity. The condoms are then powdered, individually subjected to electronic tests, rolled, lubricated and sealed in air-proof packaging. During the production process, they are subjected to repeated random quality checks.
All special shapes, lubricants, fragrant coatings and colours used in the production of our condoms are subjected to extensive tests and comply with the strict conditions laid down by the law.
So much technology for love? You won’t notice any of that while you’re using them – in matters of love, only the feeling counts.
Endless chains of rotating glass formers are immersed repeatedly into the matured and processed latex mixture, which is dried at regular intervals.
